L&S CAPITAL (Pty) Ltd.

The leopard (Panthera pardus) is a member of the Felidae family with a wide range in some parts of the globe. It is listed as Near Threatened on the  IUCN Red List because it is declining in large parts of its range due to  habitat loss and fragmentation, and hunting for trade and pest control. Being the smallest of the four "big cats" in the genus Panthera, its success in the wild is in part due to its opportunistic hunting behavior, its adaptability to habitats, its ability to run at speeds approaching 58 kilometres per hour (36 mph), its unequalled ability to climb trees even when carrying a heavy carcass and its notorious ability for stealth. The leopard consumes virtually any animal that it can hunt down and catch.

Leopards are agile and stealthy predators. Although they are smaller than other members of the Pantheragenus, they are able to take large prey due to their massive skulls that facilitate powerful jaw muscles. They have been known to humans throughout history, and have featured in the art, mythology, and folklore of many countries where they have historically occurred, such as ancient Greece, Persia, and Rome. Because of his smaller size he can conceal himself in places impossible to fellow felines such as a tiger. His need for water is far less, and in veritable demoniac cunning and daring, coupled with the uncanny sense of self preservation and stealthy disappearance when danger threatens, he has no equal.

At L&S Capital, we believe that agility, stealth, vision, adaptability are the yardsticks for great strategy that eventually leads to efficient partnerships and ongoing synergies. Since we identified a leopard’s characteristics as being representative of how we conduct business, it is highly imperative that these qualities be evident in all we do.
